At the Kingfisher Herbs farm in the foothills of the Blue Mountains it is only two hours between picking, washing and processing.
Where possible, fresh, hand picked, wild or organically grown herbs go into our products.
Most herbs are best fresh, some however need to be dried first for safety e.g. the St Johns Wort in our Calm & Secure tincture.
At Kingfisher Herbs we maintain ethical standards in all of our operations.
Naturally, the healing properties of herbs are enhanced when grown in a healthy environment. Kingfisher Herbs practices sustainable agriculture. Our herb farm is completely organic and natural, free from pesticides and other artificial chemicals. The aim is to provide you with the highest quality medicines at the best possible price.
Hundreds of scientific papers have been published confirming the health benefits of Echinacea, St Johns Wort, Gingko Biloba, Brahmi and all the herbs carefully selected by Kingfisher Herbs for inclusion in our products.
Kingfisher herbal medicines are liquid extracts, the form preferred by most naturopaths and herbalists.
They are very concentrated, being of practitioner strength. They are up to twelve times stronger than capsules or tablets and work faster and more effectively than teas.
This is because Kingfisher supplies herbs in a water-alcohol solution which provides a more complete range of beneficial compounds.
This is in contrast to herbal teas, which bring into solution only the water soluble components.
Herbal extracts retain the maximum strength of the active ingredients. Longer processing methods such as drying and crushing, which are required to produce tablets, teas and capsules, can cause a loss in potency. |
